November 12, 2020Rating of this product is 5 out of 5.Even though the shipment took an extra day, due to a holiday, the contents were still frozen and painfully cold to the touch.
We thawed six portions out. Upon opening the vacuum sealed package, there was a pleasant aroma of fresh salmon. We typically purchase fresh and frozen wild caught sockeye all the time, organic labeled when possible. None has ever carried such a fresh aroma.
We purposely used less seasoning that we had become accustomed too. We wanted the seasoning to accent the salmon, not over power it.
We baked the filets, over a light base of avocado oil in a glass baking dish, 375°.
I sampled the fish as it cooked. The flesh was light and melted in my mouth. The flavor was something we have not experienced in a long time. We probably over cooked it by a minute or two. None the less, the flesh and skin were very delicious. There was a definite fantastic aftertaste, deeper than the initial flavor.
As much as we appreciate the natural flavors, we plan to experiment to find the balance that works for us.
Oh, the skin held up well. We are used to skin getting stuck to the cooking dish, or having to use higher heat to crisp it so it stays attached. -

September 30, 2020Rating of this product is 5 out of 5.OMG, this was some of the best tuna my husband and I have ever had! And we lived in CA a long time and vacation in HI every year. It was absolutely just as good if not better than tuna caught that day in HI. I highly recommend it and will order it again. It arrived in NM during the heat well-packaged and totally frozen. So good!! -

We were astounded that it arrived totally frozen to our home in Atlanta in the heat of summer. So far we have tried the King Salmon and the halibut from the sample box we put together. The instructions say just cook from frozen (I throw it on a hot cast iron personally) -- I will buy a lot more for convenience/ when I don't want to thaw some regular frozen salmon (which I usually thaw 24 hours for best results personally).
Wish I knew EXACTLY how much protein these contained, as I do weight-training, etc., but maybe I'll send an email. Or maybe it's on the package. I don't know, I have to reorder!
