Ingredients

Shrimp
- 2 lbs Royal Red Jumbo Shrimp, raw, and thawed
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup of beer
- 1 cup of water

Cocktail Sauce
- 6 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1/2 tablespoon prepared horseradish (can be found in the refrigerator aisle at your local supermarket)
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- a pinch of cayenne pepper, or as much as you would like
Instructions
- To begin, lets make your cocktail sauce. Combine in a small bowl, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Set aside in your refrigerator to let cool.
- Combine Old Bay, butter, beer, and water in a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the shrimp, turn the heat down to medium, and cover with a lid.
- Cook, stirring only once, for 3-6 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and just cooked through.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the shrimp from the broth and transfer to a serving platter.
- Serve hot or cold with your freshly prepared cocktail sauce.
