Shipping Policy

Due to extremely high demand for our products during the current coronavirus pandemic, shipping to some states must include a location fee. We look forward to a time when we will be able to remove this surcharge. For now, please bear with us.

Free Shipping on All Standard Website Orders

Standard website orders (not shipments to western states) are shipped via FedEx Ground service unless an “Expedited” option is purchased, and then FedEx 2-Day or Overnight service will be used.

We only ship orders that will deliver Tuesday – Friday for any service type used, including the “Expedited” option. We do not ship for delivery on Saturday – Monday.

There are occasionally situations due to weather that we will hold orders to be shipped at a later date.

Shipments via FedEx Ground service:

  • Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday(except holidays) and arrive within 1-3 days depending on transit time for your specific location.
  • Orders placed by 10am CST Monday, will ship that day.
  • Orders placed between 10am CST Monday and 10am CST Wednesday will ship on Wednesday (unless your shipment requires 3 days of transit, which we will then ship on the following Monday).
  • Orders placed between 10am CST Wednesday and 10am CST Monday the following week, will ship on that Monday.
  • You will receive an emailed confirmation with your shipping schedule once your order is received.

Shipments via FedEx “Expedited” Options

  • Only orders placed that select an “Expedited” option at checkout for an additional fee will be shipped via 2-Day or Overnight service.
  • Orders placed after 10am CST Wednesday – Sunday will ship the following Monday.
  • You will receive an emailed confirmation with your shipping schedule once your order is received.
  • We DO NOT ship to APO/FPO, PO Boxes or Rural Routes.

Exceptions – Alaska and Hawaii
All orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be charged $110 for rush delivery.

Tracking Your Order

Online orders receive emailed order confirmation with your order number in the subject line. Once the order begins to move, your tracking number will be emailed so you can track your package. Wild Alaska Salmon & Seafood will also be tracking each order to ensure proper delivery. Occasionally there are weather delays or delays during peak holiday periods that are beyond our control. In the event of any delay, we will notify you as soon as possible with a status update.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee specific delivery times

We strive to deliver your order on time to the address you designate. Virtually all of our deliveries are successful and we want to make sure yours is among them! We do not require a signature upon delivery. The courier will normally knock on your door and, if no is available, will leave your package at your door. However, it is at the sole discretion of the courier whether or not to leave a package if no one is available. We are not liable for orders that are not retrieved in a timely manner.

Handling Frozen Goods

Perishable products should be kept frozen upon arrival or refrigerated if consuming immediately. Slight thawing of raw frozen product may be safely re-frozen with no perceptible loss of quality or nutritional value. It is not recommended to re-freeze fully thawed raw product.

Unopened, vacuum sealed smoked salmon packages can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. After opening your smoked salmon package, they should be kept in the refrigerator and consumed within 2 weeks.

Unopened, vacuum sealed raw salmon packages should be thawed overnight in the refrigerator and then cut open once fully thawed. DO NOT KEEP SEALED VACUUM PACKED RAW SALMON IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR FOR MORE THAN 2 DAYS.

After opening raw salmon, it is best to consume within 3 days of thawing.

Refund Policy

We take great pride in our products to insure that every customer is completely satisfied with their order.  If for any reason you are not completely satisfied please contact us so we can make it right and refund or replace your order.  All refunds will be provided as a credit to the card used at the time of purchase.

SHIPPING POLICY / DELIVERY POLICY:

All perishable seafood shipments are sent via FedEx. We cannot ship to PO Boxes.

Frozen Perishable Foods

Ships via FedEx Ground to locations in proximity to our Illinois Warehouse.

  • Orders placed after 5:00pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or before 5:00pm on Monday, will ship Tuesday* to arrive 1-2 days later.
  • Orders placed between 3:00pm Monday through 5:00pm on Tuesday will ship Wednesday* to arrive 1-2 days later.
  • Orders placed after 5:00pm on Tuesday through 5:00pm Friday will ship Monday* to arrive 1-2 days later.

Frozen Perishable Foods

Ships via FedEx Standard Overnight or 2-Day Express Service to locations outside of our Illinois zone.

  • Orders placed before 10:00 am Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will ship that day to arrive in 1-2 days depending on service.
  • Orders placed after 10:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (standard overnight only) will ship the following day or two depending on service type … in other words, two days after the day the order was placed.
  • Orders placed after 10:00 am Wednesday (2-Day Express), Thursday or at any time on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will ship the following Monday to arrive 1-2 days later depending on service type.

*Except when a holiday falls on the designated shipping day.

Shipping Confirmation & Tracking:
