Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds Alaska King Crab legs, frozen or thawed
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 teaspoon seafood spice blend

Directions

  • Prep Crab
    • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (450F)
    • Rinse frozen Alaska King Crab legs under cold running water to remove any ice glaze; pat dry with paper towels.
    • For each pound of crab use 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of seafood spice.
    • Blend olive oil and seasoning.
    • Place crab legs on an 18-inch piece of heavy duty foil and pour or brush oil blend onto legs.
    • Lay another foil sheet over crab and thoroughly crimp edges to seal, leaving room for heat circulation inside.
  • Cook Crab
    • To cook, slide foil bag onto heated grill and cook 8-10 minutes for frozen crab or 4 minutes for thawed crab
  • Smoky Variation
    • Soak wood chips (Alder, Cedar, Apple, ect.) in water for 30 minutes; drain.
    • Add chips to coals.
    • Grill rinsed and dried crab legs on baking sheep until crab is heated through.
