Ingredients
- 4 Alaska Halibut fillets (4-6 ounces each), fresh, thawed or frozen
- 1 Tbsp Paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper, or to taste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Butter, melted

Directions
- Preheat – Set the broiler/oven or grill to medium-high heat.
- Make the Seasoning – In a small bowl, mix together paprika, oregano, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne, and salt.
- Prepare the Halibut –
- For frozen halibut: Rinse off any ice glaze under cold water, then pat dry.
- Place fillets on a foil-lined or spray-coated baking sheet.
- For best results with frozen fish, cook for 4 minutes before adding butter and spices.
- Season – Brush the top of each Halibut portion with melted butter, then sprinkle with about 1/2 tsp of the seasoning mix.
- Cook – Grill or broil halibut 5–7 inches from heat:
- Frozen fish: ~13 minutes
- Fresh/thawed fish: ~8 minutes
Cook just until the fish is opaque throughout and flakes easily.
