I'm not even kidding, buying halibut online from you is as good as if I caught it right out of the Carlsbad lagoon and cooked it fresh. Actually, I think your halibut is even better. You Alaskan guys are amazing. I can't wait to place another order!

This halibut is now my very favorite. (Also give the salmon & tuna 5 stars.) The most beautiful white fish, thick filets, bakes up beautifully. Favorite recipe: Mix up a topping of mayo, dijon, lemon, garlic & onion/shallots, paprika. Sprinkle with panko. Bake at 425.

Best Halibut we’ve ever purchased! First time ordering fish and we continue to come back for more. We live in NC and you can’t find fish anywhere close to what we’ve experienced with this company. Wife is from AK and I’m from FL and we are both amazed with the halibut, king salmon and even the ahi coming from another country. Packaging is perfect and there’s no smell coming from the fish with every order. We will be loyal customers for life now that we have experienced such great quality. King crab and lobster tails will be next. Can’t wait for my next order!

I ordered 5 # on June 26 just to try it out WOW the taste was outstanding ....it literally melted in you mouth! I actually gave a piece to a friend of mind for his birthday who has been a chef for 35 years and he said it was the best Halibut he has ever had. I will be ordering 20 # soon like I do the Sockeye Salmon. Capt Tony is the best. This company should be a ***10 STAR*** rating

I waited a few weeks before sending in our review in order to cook some of the halibut we purchased. Now that we have, here goes: We only ordered halibut because it’s so hard to get here in Florida. It was delivered during the hottest part of the year (95+ degrees), yet every piece of halibut was rock-hard-frozen-solid, with enough dry ice in the box to last at least another 2-days. As for the fish itself, it is excellent. No “fishy” smell, and it cooks-up flaky, moist and delicious. Even though other companies have been recommended to us, we now will not order from anyone else. My only (minor) issue is that when we received the package, the exterior cardboard was very damp, which gave me initial concern. This was due to the interior styrofoam being inserts (bottom, sides, top) instead of a sealed styrofoam container. This obviously allowed some of the cold to escape, and in the Florida heat, made condensation on the exterior box. If it was me, I would have the interior styrofoam container be a sealed box instead of inserts. Again, a very minor issue since there was more than enough dry ice remaining and the fish was all still frozen solid. Just an observation. Bottom line for us is that you can’t go wrong, as least when it comes to the halibut. It is truly exceptional!

I just ordered the Halibut for the first time and had our first dinner the other day. Wow! Such a firm tasty fish. I will never get Halibut or any other seafood for that matter, from anywhere else again. Captain Tony is the real deal! Worth every penny.

From Wikipedia…
“Alaskan halibut have diamond-shaped bodies. They are more elongated than most flatfishes, the width being about one-third of the length. It has a high arch in the lateral line over the pectoral fin, and a crescent-shaped tail, which is different from other flat fishes. Small scales are embedded in the skin. Halibut have both eyes on their dark upper side. The color on the dark side varies, but tends to assume the coloration of the ocean bottom. The underside is lighter, appearing more like the sky from below. This color adaptation allows halibut to avoid detection by both prey and predator. They are one of the largest flatfish (only surpassed by the closely related Atlantic halibut), and can weigh up to 500 lb and grow to over 8 ft long.”
